Hmm, I'm getting a laptop soon....and by soon I mean when I get a job and 1000 Bucks or whenever I find out how much I'll be getting in scholarships, if I have enough out of that(Going into college next year). When I do, I can do graphics stuff...if you want. Other than that, dunno how I can help

Well, ya have me! lol Uhmmmmmmmm, to be honest I never woulda seems the advertising forum if I hadn't just posted a forum myself that no one joined and I stopped bothering with. I made a forum a few years ago that got members by me asking my real life friends but they got bored pretty quick and it died. We need some kind of allure. Any ideas? And I know HTML code so, if that's useful, I can work on it after I get a laptop. Can't code on an itouch. (I'd use my computer but my parents would get mad at me)

Web development is a hobby of mine so I know HTML, CSS, and a little Javascript. Pretty much the only thing that's changeable on here is the main CSS script. Otherwise it's pretty complicated to implement new HTML because it's limited on what we can do.

I'm gonna try going other places to advertise too. Which site did you find this from?

Forumotion. If it came down to it we could HTML up a forum Eh, just telling ya in case there was a use for it. Wouldn't you have to pay for most advertisement?

Nah I was just thinkin' about searching for a bunch of other forums to post on if they allow it. Maybe try some other forums I'm a member of.

It's pretty difficult for a general discussions forum to have mass registration. I know how you feel with little activity in early stages of a forum (you know my credentials). The one thing I can recommend is putting a link in your sig in any forum you are affiliated with, and putting this link in your status message on aim/twitter/facebook/etc. Put backlinks in any blog you find, and go to forums that teach you on how to increase your traffic. I've had to do plenty of reading with my forum and how to get more members.

I hope I can help out, and you invest plenty of time in this forum. The first few months is the hardest!

How do you do the whole linkback thing? I don't really understand what I read about it.

It is basically just a link in any website that will allow you to post. If you have a banner, that really helps with a link under it, or a direct link in your banner. Read more on backlinks.
